birthday Cards
Ok made a card this weekend for a friend of mine who makes great cards, she also teaches at out local craft shop (LLS) so I don’t know about you but I’m always nervous about making cards for other people who I know are good at it them selves.
Hopefully she will like this!
Ok off to try & do some more birthday cards, then I’ve gotta come up with an idea for Christmas cards; I’ve now got about 100 to do, with all my wonderful new friends yikes!

Opps this got past me, how did I do this card? If you search the internet (any scrap site will do) and look for exploding box or here has some good free templates to down load

Well I basically took the outside layer & the lid reinforced the bottom & the top with another extra layer of card (I did it 6x6) and put something in the box rather than made the box into an album!
I put the card through my big shot with an embossing folder to give it texture & sanded it a bit, the girl is a paper artsy stamp and has a layer of thin metal through her so she sits up & I gave her a dress layer with a bit of modpog & fabric, the tiny peg actually holds a little card made of metal with alcohol inks & a little bling flower & I managed to write happy birthday Kim inside from me with a very small pen.
