Posted this on someone’s blog and thought I’d increase my embarrassment by posting it here too!
Ok going to share with you something I wrote way back when I thought I was a poet back in 1991 (I’m sooo not) but it’s one of the few things I’m actually proud of and I’m drunk enough to share at the moment, don’t think flu meds and alcohol should be mixed and then put a computer in front of me I’m probably going to regret this in the morning but hey what the hell!
We all walk through life alone,
Down the dark passages of the unknown
Our friends help light the way,
Who would be without,
Those lanterns in the darkness?
It’s important to keep friends when your in a relationship, it’s important to be friends with the person your in the relationship with, it’s important not to loose yourself when your in a relationship!

Sorry I didn’t write sooner, I haven’t been near the computer in 7 days, I think I might have been on the naughty list this year, as the Grinch left me an early Christmas present I got the flu over Christmas, so no singing with my girls as I’ve almost completely lost my voice, I’m coming to you with the aid of “day & night Nurse cold & flu tablets” sounds like an add hu? I just about got the Xmas decorations & house work done on Xmas eve after seeing the doctor and spending a day in bed drugged up to my eye balls. I was still wrapping Xmas presents on Xmas day (so not like me I’m ultra organised weeks in advanced!) R even helped me with house work & I cut corners! Thankfully mum did most of the cooking this year I only had the veg to do which was easy, and as we only had my mother in law over and she’s such a dear she kept doing the washing up! So we had a very quiet Christmas.
We R and Me celebrated (well tried to) 11 years together on Xmas Day!
Anyhow drugs are starting to wear off and I want to post something on my blog to let everyone know I’m still alive! I had so much scrapping and fun planned this hols I bought myself some lovely scrapping books to read and now all I want to do is sleep!
Ok better get going I’m coughing my guts up now and my typing is going to pot! Hope you had a nice Xmas

here are various photo's I took over the last few days will try and be more happy next time I so wanted to do a christmas table art project for you all and I just haven't felt up to it!
We took a trip on the London eye for our xmas party, so I got a few photo’s I was working on another site, just behind it, when they built the eye and we got to be some of the first people up in it, we watched it being floated down the river lifted lowered again and lifted (all before I decided to carry a camera all the time, in fact part of the reason I started carrying one!) I’ve been in it a few times but never at night, the pods move a lot more than I remembered, so only a few good shots.
Ok better get going, need to get to sleep really tied.

My grandmother always used to say when crossing the road in London always look left & right twice and up once! This is very good advice I wish other people would heed this too! The up once is because they used to throw the rubbish and piss pots out of the window into the gutters, they don’t do this now but there is a lot of construction that goes on and things sometimes get dropped so still good advice!
I wasn’t going to post this as it’s
A. It’s embarrassing and
B. It’s bound to make people laugh at me not with me
But I think if I can prevent at least one other person the pain I’m going thought then it will be worth all the pointing and laughing discomfort I shall feel for a while, so I will risk the ridicule.
I’m beginning to think I am the only one from London on Vox this is probably not true but I haven’t search the whole of vox yet so I will reserve judgement but explain that London is packet with people probably not as many as some places but way more than they’re used to be and people just don’t seem to be as aware of them selves and what’s around them! As they just walk into you and stop in front of you, if you were in a car you would be swapping insurance details! No sorry or excuse me just barging through you as if you don’t exist it’s rude and can be dangerous (I know that sound dramatic but read on)
So buses are also rare and buses that wait are akin to winning the lottery (I know I go on about this in my post but I hope one day to do this! Not catch a bus I do this a lot, win the lottery, buses are good here better than some places it’s just the waiting that get me and then you get 3 in a row!) so a bus was actually waiting for me, I, know this as I’m friendly with the driver so I’m trotting along (not running, can’t run anymore I have a bad knee) and a guy about 6 foot and about 20 stone 280 lbs (I’m 5.4 not telling how much weight but less than that!) just steps right into me he didn’t look left or right he just stepped right out into the road because the bus had stopped he assumed there was no traffic, he didn’t look for bikes or anything I shouted “look out” but he didn’t hear me as he had his head phone on so loud I could tell he was listening to “westlife” and I was caught off balance I went flying, he bounced me right into the on coming traffic some how I managed to twist so I landed on my good knee (which is still only just my good knee now) and the next thing I saw was a motorcycle heading my way very fast and I’m scrabberling to get out of the F**king way my heart in my throat and I’m thinking “s**t R is going to kill me for getting killed”
Now did anyone help me? did anyone scream to attract the biker’s attention to the little fat lady in the road? no they all stood there waiting for it to happen! With they’re mouth open like guppy fish! Luckily I was hatched by a cat (Mabbs) and my mother swears that she passed on her 9 lives and possibly any other lives that she picked up along the way because I’ve been in some serious scrapes in my time and I never know how the hell I’ve gotten out of them! But some how I managed to crawl to the safety of the shadow of the bus and then they guy and another one who was standing beside him helped me up, with an “are you all right” from the guy who didn’t just walk into me! “Yes fine & thank you” I reply I just want to get out of there so fast and the bus driver is still waiting for me so I just hop on the bus and I’m gone! The bus driver asks if I’m ok as my hand is dripping blood! “yep for my next trick I shall cart wheel down oxford street” to which he laughs he waits for me to sit down no one on the bus will give me eye contact I get the feeling they wanted to see an ambulance and more blood! oh well I’m embarrassed as hell and really want to get off the bus as fast as possible and in to a toilet so I can look at my leg and knee as they are really starting to burn and I can feel it swelling!
I get to work, straight to the toilet and yes my knee and leg are swollen and bleeding I clean myself up the best I can, I take 2 Pain killers & carry on with a limp no one even notices! Around lunch time I realise the guy who walked into me didn’t even say sorry!
I can laugh at my self now 2 weeks on it must have look quite funny little fat girl trotting along gets hit by bigger fat guy bounces off falls on ground I’m sure it would have been a big hit on you tube but it could so easily have been my head popped like a water melon under bike’s wheels or in fact that guy could have walked into a motorbike or cyclist and could have been killed or hurt someone else more seriously and if I was the type of person who would sue he could have been having a very unhappy Christmas the bruise on my knee goes all the way down to my ankle which is also swollen and it’s been a rainbow of colours starting with a deep purple and red which some of it still is and some of it has finally gone green!
So do me a favour and be aware of what’s going on around you say sorry if you bump into people and excuse me and thank you and for goodness sake look left and right twice and up once when crossing the road where ever you are it might just save your life!

Ok I’m sooo gutted due to some water getting in they closed the exhibit on Thursday 22nd.!!!
I got up early and made sure I wasn’t working today so that I could go to the Nineteenneightyfouria exhibition by Shepard Fairey at the Stolen Space Gallery in the old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane. This was the last weekend I’ve been ill for most of this month (I’m still ill but I really wanted to see this) as it opens at 11.00 and I know that he has done some unofficial advertising I walked from Old Street to the Gallery in Brick lane took me about 3 hrs as I was wandering taking photos (253 in total not all his) as I went, it’s been about 7 years since I’ve been this way and never all the way by foot and it’s changed quite a bit it’s kinda got a bit like Camden just was before it got touristy so go now before it’s really ruined! I got there just after 11.00 and followed the signs, I made a complete circuit of the building and couldn’t find it, I asked the girl in the events office and she directed me back round so back I go again still can’t find it am I being stupid?, so I pop into another of the galleries, where I’m informed about the early closure, so I go tell the girl on reception and she kind of almost accuses me of making it up! Then she says maybe that’s why some of the works in here? Talk about dumb! Anyway I said it might be handy to have these postcards to hand out to pissed off people and put a sign on the door as I’ve been round 3 times! I tried hard not to take it out on her she was just doing her job and no one informed her but why would I make up some thing like that?! Anyway I was in such a mood I walked from there all the way back to Whitechapel took me another hour by which time I’d cooled off a bit!
So thank you Shepard Fairey and friends for your unofficial advertising spree with out it I wouldn’t have seen any of your work! I managed to get one of the advertising postcards and a very long walk!
I’ve asked (and I’m quite confident) that someone in my family buy me Supply & Demand as I’ve heard really good things about it and it seems like the next best thing link to Amazon uk as this is the cheapest I’ve seen it here.
Anyway here are the photos that I did get!
I’m off to do something to take my mind off my disappointment!

Still not feeling on top form got another doctors appointment but not for a couple of weeks apparently everyone has this cold thing and even the poor doctors got it!
The only conciliation is that I finally managed to share the love with everyone at work! Yep all those people who always say they are never ill and that I’m making it all up when I’ve rung in sick before, so I struggled in with a very high temperature and with the help of lemsip. That was 8 weeks ago and now they are dropping like fly’s and complaining about being sick, so they now know why I don’t come in and pass the love around, anyhoo.
Been making my Xmas cards and presents so can’t really share those as people might see them and I always like it to be a surprise so I’m sharing some of my attempts to be artful in my defence it was early in the morning and very cold so my brain cell probably wasn’t firing very well but I like the affects!

Ok here are some more cards I did with various banana frog stamps including some Christmas ones and I did a load of see through ATC (artist trading card) for Ali Pali and I didn’t find any one to trade with and I didn’t win the contest I entered there either too different I guess so I’ve got most of these left and I’m using them as book marks and as xmas decorations around the house they look rather cute!

so I’ve done some table art she like anything green & glittery which is hard as I think I tend to use that up so I don’t have much in my scrap stash to use but I gave it a shot plus it real dark now so I had to get three lamps to get enough light so it’s not my best work but it’s the thought that counts right!

So now I’m on someone else site which means that someone in the industry actually liked my stuff, I have a lot of the stamps and I highly recommend them & not just because I got an article there I’ve bought all the stuff I used from there myself with my own money and I’ve been using them for over a year & they last real well & I don’t treat my stamps as well as I should and they have lasted me well & are still going strong. Will try & post some more pick of other bits I did with my banana frog stamps but I’m at work at the moment so don’t have access to my pictures!
I will also try and work out how to put up the template for the elephants as a down load as a few people I know “don’t do drawing”

Happy Halloween for all those of you who celebrate it, I don’t so don’t knock on my door as if you do I’m likely to give you this bloody cold that really wont quit 5 weeks now, and I really don’t want to play such a nasty trick on you nice people! LoL

Ps probably won’t post for a bit so I can try and get some work done, got a bee in my bonnet (not a real one & I don’t actually wear a bonnet you understand) I’m sorting through my old photo’s trying to find one & I’ve turned the house up side down still can’t find what I’m looking for so I’m organising as I go (how many blurred photos of people I don’t know or of the carpet do I need?) this should only take a weekend now if I put my mind to it, but that’s when I surf & post, just so you know I didn’t die or anything I’m not really that ill I just don’t get ill very often so it’s annoying *G*
