Ok I know I’ve been a bad blogger recently so the Santa blogger probably won’t visit! LoL
Sorry guys, mum had a fall or two & is now in a wheel chair till after Xmas & we live in a 5 storey house (yes I know, I still live with my parents! Shock & horror! But just in case you didn’t already know I’m a carer have been most of my life! And its way too depressing to go into now! But I have to care for both my parent so it was easier for me not to move out.) So I’ve been doing my best impression of running around like a blue arsed fly! I just love that phrase it’s one of my grans, who is no longer with us, sigh!
My replacement Gran Maud 96 passed away quietly in her sleep
the other week so we had the funeral to arrange she only had very distant
family left who although did visit as much as they could they lived miles &
miles away & really didn’t know her & at the end she didn’t even
remember us but we did know what she would have wanted & the family were
very grateful that grand Aunty Maud had so many friends!
I’ve finally done all the Christmas shopping for everyone! Some thing will turn up a little late I’ve seen a few friends I’ve sent out all the cards (made a 100 yep almost drove me nuts) and here is the digital version for all my blogger friends feel free to nab you self a copy it’s my 1st ever digital Christmas card! I hope to have another digital something but I’m still working on it please be patient I’m new at this!
The decoration are up, the house work is finally done I’ve almost got my voice back (I got a chest infection & lost my voice LOL I want to sing at Christmas please) we are not getting snow BOOOOOO
So I’m now off work & I hope to be able to drop in & do a few more posts probably after Xmas , I’m off to pick up the turkey & hand deliver some more cards so Seeya hugya & have a nice one where ever you are *G
Wow it’s been a while since I posted it’s been busy & I’m so very tired at the moment
I keep feeling that I’m being stretched thin I’ve been trying to catch up with so many people as well as get so many project completed the house is almost back to normal apart from the massive subsidence cracks that we have to leave until the insurance company finish arguing again with the council over who is going to pay for the damage so we can’t redecorate! So that’s it probably till summer again I wasn’t really looking forward to shifting all my stuff from one room to another while they redecorate anyway it just makes me realise how much crap I really have & how good I am at hiding it! LoL
So I’ve been making presents & cards for Christmas none of which I can show you sorry but I can show you baby cards as L has got the card I made her & C for baby C who’s not here yet but I wanted her to have it for the baby shower which we don’t really do over her in the UK but I watched friends so I know you guys do that sort of thing LOL
And before anyone complains about the skull they are rockers and liked it & I have it on reliable info that baby C likes guns N roses so may well be a rock star one day just like his daddy, so there! LoL
And for those that prefer san skull I had 2 more baby boys (not me, my friends) and they both have older sibs so I made badges as I’m an older sib I remember being a little jealous of all the attention so I always make special things for them.
Ok so I met up with a blogger friend my 3rd B & husband C her daughter also a B is over at the moment & we’ve been out a few time I had such fun we went to Hamiles & down oxford street & on to Harrods I hope they had fun too (I was a little scanty) don’t do people photos unless I have permission but here are some of the other bits!
I found my self in Greenwich on Saturday so I did a little Christmas shopping and went to feed the squirrels as it turned out to be a really abysmal day it really rained hard there were very few people feeding the squirrels so they were very happy to see me in fact I got very close to them and at one point I had 10 surrounding me along with a murder of 20 crows & about 60 pigeons. The squirrels in Greenwich are actually quite used to people & will come and sit on you if you have the right attitude I had them tugging on my trousers when they had finished so I could give them more I was too busy feeding them to get a photo unfortunately but it must have look hilarious to anyone who as walking by!
Greenwich Park is part of the land that the crown used to own & hunt on King Henry the 8th & Elizabeth the 1st used to ride their horse through it and hunt venison for the table (I’m not really into hunting but it‘s the history of the place) so they have always kept deer here there is a little bit you can go to, to see them but you very rarely do, so
I went to the deer part just for a rest where I met another squirrel so I turned to feed him also (yes I’m a sucker) when I turned back to my amazement there were the deer! And not just a few but the lot of them & the stag too in all the time I’ve been going to the park & it’s a lot my granddad used to take me as a child (it’s were I go to remember family instead of a graveyard, it’s my happy place, you can get lost in it!) I have never seen the stag that’s 38 years & he was posing it is of course rutting season & there are 2 fences between me & said stag! I have never wished for a better zoom camera before but I did today.
(But I think its time to start saving for the cannon as of Jan the 1st that’s what I’m gonna do I have reached the time when I actually need a digital SLR)
anyhow it made that rain, cold & mud all worth it as did the very sweet squirrels & the friendly chatter of the dog walkers who come to the park I got quiet muddy play with everyone else dogs!
So I walked across the heath & got the bus back home where I had a nice cup of hot chocolate & chocolate a cup cake (or 2) waiting!
Oh dose anyone know if the Host by Stephenie Meyer is anything to do with the twilight series or is it a separate new series? You guys in the US know more about it than some of the shops here! Thanks looking forward t seeing twilight when it finally starts here I’m hearing it’s close to the book not really sure if the books are that big over here as I’ve only heard my US friends really talking about it but maybe everyone will come out of the closet after the films release, a little like what happened with Harry Potter! LoL

Sorry haven’t blogged for a while life is got in the way nothing bad just life! Just thought I’d drop by & say good luck with the vote not sure who I want to win the rottweiler in waiting or the alien magnet! (Well if you see any film in Hollywood the second America gets a Black president we get invaded by Aliens or a major disaster happens! LoL)
We never get so much coverage of our elections & I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing I am distrustful of politicians in general I think they on the whole start out as good but somewhere along the line they get corrupted or lost in there own important’s! But it must be very hard to have that much power and not let it get to your head. Ok at work better get going 7 weeks till I’m on my xmas break can’t wait & yes I am back to looking for a job any ideas as to good web sites protocols about putting you CV on web sites (never done that & am a little scared about ID theft always used agencies but the few I’ve tried don’t seem to be having much luck with me I think they are inundated)

Dose anyone else have a cat that actually knows what your alarm sounds like and knows which one is the one you get up to? I have a radio alarm that goes off at 6.00am to which I kinda listen to its talk radio they give a travel up date so if I hear anything really bad I can get up earlier & deal with it. But Liz ignores it too but when my real alarm goes off at 6.30 she’s on the case she makes me get up! She really would like to be fed now & she knows what that alarm means! LoL the really funny thing is they don’t go off at the weekend so she is unsure when to wake me so if I’m really lucky I can get a lay in till about 7.00! The most annoying thing is after she has been fed she then try’s to entice me back to bed which at the moment isn’t too hard she really hates to see me or Mr G getting dressed, both the girls get fed in the day & are let in & out by my parents so they are not alone but they really just like to have us around it’s so very sweet they wait on the stairs at around the time we come home & rush to great us when we walk thought the door! Sometimes you can hear Liz yowl through the front door at me if I’m talking to a neighbour out side it’s very funny.
The other 2 girls live down stairs with my mother so I don’t see them as much & also don’t feed them as much so I don’t have to deal with the leg tripping race to the kitchen every time I get up from my desk! They seem to think that if I get up this may or may not mean I’m going to the kitchen so the both make a bolt for the door to see who can get there 1st it doesn’t matter that I only just fed them! LoL or that I might not be going to the kitchen they still have to get there first on the off chance I might just forget that I fed them!
This is my schedule I leave the house at 7.30 am to go to work & I’m not back sometimes till 7.00pm mon – fri when I get back I’ve got to love the cats (they feel left out a bit) do some house work, check the internet, one or other of us dose dinner, catch up with each other, watch a little TV, tidy up & get sorted for tomorrow, then bed by 11.30 -12.00 to be up again by 6.30 again! So I’ve been finding it difficult to find time to do everything else I want & need to do!
Ok better get going just thought I’d post something again will do a proper one at the weekend (fingers crossed)

Right finally have my desk back so I’ve managed to finish my travel album it’s based on something that Elise Blaha did in one of the 2 scrapbooking mags we have here yes we only have 2 she blogged about it here

Mines not exactly the same I picked 5 photos to represent
the cities that I’ve been to so far (that includes London) and I got them
printed out bigger than I normally do 7x5 there are no people in them just the
places. I chopped up 12 x12 double sided paper in half so the album is 12 long
by 6 wide I then picked 5 of my precious Hambley transparencies 12x12 & did
the same, you cannot get these over here very easily they tend to sell out
before I even hear about them so for xmas 07 my brother sent me some (he really
doesn’t get it but he dose listen when I say I really want something) I think I’ve
only got about 6 sheets left oh no! LoL

So I used my dwindling supply of glitter stickers I really
loves these & they are going fast too but I am using my stash which is a
good thing no point in having it & not using it that’s just wasteful! And I
get to enjoy the finished product. Anyhoo I digress I wrote a little about what
I remember about the trip on the last page before the next transparency, then I
just punched 2 holes in the paper so it would be a landscape book & put D rings in so I can add more as I travel
!
So had a couple of deaths of friends family members never easy, you never know what to say, you want to say something, you want them to know that you are thinking about them & sending your love so I did this card got a little colour but also a little sombre I hope I struck the balance right! Keep thinking I should make a stamp saying “lost for words!” which would probably have my friends cracking up!
Did this card for my brothers un birthday since he shared his birthday with Eric who killed him self he has decided not to celebrate it this year (it’s also new years eve so it’s gonna be a tuff one) so he has been after some Arsenal football (soccer to my American friends) shirts which cost a bomb £40 each that’s $80 he wanted both (£80 $160) so for the first time in his life he has allowed us to do birthday & xmas together he always hated that he had his birthday so close together with xmas, he was suppose to be born on xmas day but was late I got so fed up waiting that I asked my fairy (yes I had my own fairy as a child called Joe, who didn’t?) to hurry him along! (yes I was certain back in the 70’s before scans that I as having a baby brother) My mother went into labour about an hour after I requested it they found 2 notes behind the Christmas tree one was requesting my brother & one was thanking them for my brother (I couldn’t write but that’s what I told them they were, always polite!) my granddad even offer to swap birthdays with him but M declined! Anyhoo getting off the point again (I’m such a rambler) we sent them early he is slightly happier I wish I could do more for my wonderful sister in law but I think only time is going to heal that broken heart! Being a big sister myself I know how hard it must be.
So I’ve got a couple of baby cards to do as the cycle continues 2 more boys
We don’t really do Halloween over here although the kids have picked it up off all the American TV we get so it is getting more popular but we do November the 5th guy falks night or the greenman which is the pagan festival it took over instead but it’s not a card thing although I’m sure the card shops would like us to make it one! LoL
I need to do the wardrobe change over & try stuff on make any repairs replace anything, as it’s really getting colder you can really notice the difference the leave have changed colour & most of them are on the floor now & there is defiantly a bite in the air it’s snuggle time! And of course it’s getting darker so taking photos of my stuff has to happen real quick although Mr G has bought some very snazzy portable studio lights but I much prefer natural light although I shouldn’t knock it till I’ve tried it! And there is a small pile of laundry to be done (as always)
Got a blogger friend coming over in November get to meet another stranger friend, already got her daughter here been fun being a tour guide hope I haven’t border her to tears already B let me know when you want me to take that half day & B’s daughter let me know when you want to come over & finish watching firefly!
I’ve started designing my Christmas cards, digitally as well as physically, as well as designing a few presents digitally. I’m trying to make more of my Christmas presents this year and I’m really going to cut down on spending tough I know but Christmas is about friendship, family, love, joy, food not about getting into more dept! so it will be chocolate Thornton lolly pops all round & some hand made gifts and a request not to spend a lot of money if any on me! And I’m going to make an effort to go and see my friends they are all over the place nowadays so I will be doing some day trips!
Ok better get going Sunday is almost over & I’ve been trying to up load this all day!

Sorry blog I didn’t mean to forget you, but it has been busy here it is account end period which means boring having to finish stuff up awaiting THE AUDITORS” yep said in that shouty boom voice of doom type voice! We view them a little like the dementors in Harry Potter LoL which of course is not to say that they are that bad people really its just the way they make everyone else act around them they really put the frighteners on most companies & accounts departments dreads them!
I’m still looking for another job but so is everyone else so we
shall see, went to the ali pali BIG stamping & scraping show the other week
& spent way too much money but got some really yummy stuff, won’t
show off (well I can’t really as my desk is still in a corner, as the
building work is still going on!!)
discovered something new about myself not creating make me very grumpy I like to be surrounded by my stuff so I can pull out what I need & just create some thing – having to get up & rummage around over in the corner of the room really stops the flow I really do work better when I’m organised – so all that time I spend organising & labelling things moving things around so it flows better for me is actually good!
I having been using the un creative time to good use by chucking
stuff out been having a real purge of crap that I honesty can’t
understand why I have been keeping it!
I’ve also been reconnecting with friends & been making plans to see them at Christmas most of my old friends have kids so can’t really travel, & they’ve all moved away from where we used to lived so I’m hoping to do a little travelling & catch up with about 3 or 4 of them over the 2 weeks I’ve got off, only a day here & there but some of them I haven’t seen in 2 or 3 years it’s amazing how time just fly’s by! It seems to get faster the older you get! LoL

Been busy, boring busy not really doing great & don’t want to go into as it’s more boring stuff what I can go into is - i can’t do anything much creative because we are having work done to the house so the place is a mess which is driving me a little nutts (so nothing new there! LoL)
we can’t decorate as they are still monitoring the subsidence & arguing with the council about the trees, the tree are about 100 years old & need lopping, hair cutting every other year or they drink too much water & make the ground unstable so we have massive cracks in our plaster work as do our neighbours we are semi detached – this happened a few years back & we thought it was all sorted out but apparently no so they have been monitoring the cracks for the last year now so no decorating so it looks a mess – good news will be when they come to an agreement the insurance will do the decorating we just have to move all the stuff around for them!
So as we are having some other work which means I have to move some stuff around I am chucking or recycling lots of stuff that I really can’t understand why the hell I’m keeping not really sure that photos of bin liners will inspire anyone to clear out they’re crap we all seem to have some I subscribe to this ladies news letter,

she is an awesome organiser, I have her scrapbooking book about organising and had I some spare cash I would probably do a class but at the moment my priority are to get out of the debt that due to unforeseen hiccups in life we are in – I’ve got 5 years to go to get out of the big one and I’m trying to be more frugal than normal to clear up the over drafts & credit cards!
Ha I hear you saying you just got an iphone yes I know that was an extravagant present but I haven’t had a big one like that in years & won’t be having any more for a long while, we only have 1 car between 6 people we don’t have children, we don’t go out much, go on exotic hols, neither of us are designer label junky’s and we rarely have the latest thing!
Anyhoo since I have had an opportunity to play with my little toy & I’m in a grungy mood I’ve been playing with this hope you like the photos it at least makes the house look funky rather than a mess that it is! LoL
